Thats just it! The game is still about skill. Your 1k armor is no worse than others leet haxor obby armor, nor is you pvp spear inferiour to a black dyed voltaic one. The playing field is still level. Money in guild wars is pointless after you have max armor and max weps. Everthing after that is just for looks.

If they don't limit the wealth for having multiple accounts.......I plan on buying 10 x GW2 accounts as soon as they are available. Also on top of the Xunlai House and Gifts of the Traveler there is also BDAY presents!

the packrat here just had tooo much stuff...ran out of buy-able slots, so for $5 got a factions copy for 4 more slots....and then for $10 got a prophecies/eton for 2 more slots .....so for $15 I got 6 slots--that would run me ~$60 thru the ingame store--much better value to me (and yes I have used it for xth, but my horrible choices didnt bring me in any great amount of keys). Then the started to sell storage panes ...

...oh well....so now I have 2 real cool rits that can dance together and some pre characters that can as well.....and a whole new xunlai storage account too! (see an account will give you 4 characters AND xunlai storage whereas slots only give you the character, itself's, storage capabilities).

I see no problems with having more than one account if you are capable of paying for it (eg you have a job/inheritance/trust fund etc)...since the cost of the extra game I bought is less than 2 months of WOW....would rather anet have it than the government.

The last thing we need here or IRL is 'obama' type 'justice' that results in greater control of the individual. If you want another account its your option...they are cheap now.

you could just get ur money str8 from multi accounts: zkeys, traveler gifts. but most ppl i kno get a large majority of their wealth from one account: speed clears and runs.

Second accounts are good for storage and dancing with yourself. And thats about it.

This. One account farming anything is going to make you a lot more money than having multiple accounts do XTH and Traveler.

I have two accounts.

New account = 8 char slots

Guild Wars Complete Collection is all 4 games, much cheaper than the same number of character slots. Now I have at least one character of each profession.

XTH
Nicholas gifts
GWx2 to ferry stuff from pre to post, to run one account with the other, etc.

So for anyone who does this, how much do you reckon you get per month from using the XTH? How much gold is that worth? I've never even used it once (yes I know, it's free loot, I've just been too lazy), so I actually have no idea.

I've only had my second account long enough to get two XTH rewards. One was 80 points, the other 55. So that's 16 + 11 keys = 27 keys. Then they were 5k each, so 80k and 55k = 135k. And I had random picks btw.

I really don't think the OP was talking about buying 2nd accounts for storage. The subject of the thread is buying multiple accounts in order to make money. Which many people clearly do, and have stated so in this thread.

See, the problem is the value of zkeys, and the ability to trade them. Currently, if you buy a cheap account in the US, you only need to win around 30 keys for the account to have paid for itself. Any more than that, and you're profiting. Basically, you pay US$10 for 1 month of debt, then every other month you get free cash. If you did this with a large number of accounts, then you can make VERY large amounts of gold.

It's ridiculous. ANet need to either 'forget' about fixing the XTH, remove it all together, or make zkeys untradeable.

I bought 3 accounts solely for the xth, and the storage that they offered was an added bonus that I have taken advantage of (already filled one of them to the rafters).

I am sure it has been stated earlier in this thread, but more accounts does not really mean more wealth. Real big wealth cannot be accumulated by through 50-100k (if you are good) per account per month. A slightly dedicated farmer can make that in a a few days, while power traders can make profits a zillion times higher than that in a matter of minutes (with a bit of luck). It is free money that the casual player can get with no effort, but it is not nearly enough to make a person rich.

they've probably noticed an uptick in profits due to the zkey introduction and will not under any circumstances remove it now. I mean c'mon the game is 4 years old if you throw it under the bus does anyone give a shit?

Wow, I didn't realize you got that much out of it. If it's $10 for an account that provides an income of 100K/month, that's a much better deal than buying gold (and legitimate also). So it seems that's the official way of dealing with goldsellers; although it doesn't help the game's economy, at least the company selling the game gets the money this way.
